Every week, founders, coaches and creators sit through hours of meetings, from Client calls, team syncs, strategy sessions to podcast recordings and then spend more hours trying to figure out what to post.
Meanwhile the content was already there, It happened live, then it disappeared.
This guide explains exactly how to turn your meetings into content using ProdShort, step by step, without hiring an editor or spending hours at your desk.
Why Meetings Are Your Best Content Source
Most content advice tells you to sit down, think of ideas and create something from scratch. That is the hard way.
The easy way is capturing what you already know, and you already know a lot. It comes out naturally when you are talking to clients, explaining your process to a team member, or walking someone through a problem.
Meetings are where your expertise lives in its most natural form and the goal is to stop letting it disappear.
ProdShort helps you achieve that goal. It joins your meetings, records them and automatically generates short clips and social posts from the best moments without you doing anything after the call ends.
Here is exactly how it works, step by step.
Step 1: Log Into Your Dashboard
Sign up free HERE if you have not already.
Once you are in, your dashboard gives you a quick overview of your recorded calls, generated shorts, and activity at a glance.
In the top right corner you will find two buttons: “Join Now” and “Schedule Meeting”.
These are your starting points.
Step 2: Schedule Your Meeting or Join One Live
To schedule a future meeting:
Click “Schedule Meeting”. A form popups asking for:
- A name for your meeting
- Your platform (Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams)
- The meeting link or code
- The date and time you want the ProdShort bot to join
- An optional AI setting that lets the bot ask you questions during the call
Fill in the details and confirm. ProdShort will automatically join the meeting at the scheduled time and start recording.
To join a live meeting immediately:
Click “Join Now”, paste your meeting link and the bot joins right away. No waiting, no setup.
One thing to note: If your meeting host requires manual entry approval for participants, the ProdShort bot will appear in the waiting room. You can simply let your host know you are using a recording assistant, and ask them to admit it. It takes five seconds and most hosts are happy to do it.
Step 3: Let ProdShort Record
Once the bot joins, it handles everything. You focus on the meeting.
Immediately the call ends, the recording is automatically processed and sent to your dashboard. You also get an email notification so you know it is ready.
Step 4: Find Your Recording and Shorts
Your videos are stored in Recorded Calls in the left menu.
There, you’ll find:
- Short clips already generated from the strongest moments in the call
- The exact timestamp of each clip so you know where it came from in the original recording
ProdShort's AI analyses the meeting and picks the moments most worth clipping, insights, stories, strong takes, clear answers. You do not have to watch through the full recording to find them.
If you like what you see but want more angles? Click Create More Shorts.
Step 5: Edit Your Clips in the Style Editor
Click on any clip or “Edit” to open the Style Editor. Here you can customize everything:
Layout:
- Grid view: change how speakers are arranged on screen
- Speaker order : choose whose frame appears first
- Show or hide speaker names
Captions:
- Enable captions in the clip
- Change caption style, font type, colour and background colour
- Adjust caption position and width
Post visual:
- A post visual is automatically generated for you
- You can also type your own if you prefer something specific
Post text:
- Generate post titles and captions for LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram directly inside ProdShort
- The AI drafts them based on the clip content, you review and edit
Captions review:
- Under the Captions tab, you can review the auto-generated transcript for accuracy and edit any word
When everything looks right, hit Save.
Step 6: Export or Publish
When your clip is ready, you have two options:
Export: Download the clip to your device. Your exported clips are saved under the Exported tab where you can re-edit or download them.
Publish directly: Connect your social media accounts and post or schedule the clip from inside ProdShort. No downloading and re-uploading to different apps.

Do not want to edit every clip from scratch each time?
Go to Customization and set up your default template. Any style settings you configure here (caption style, font, colours, layout) will be automatically applied to every new short generated from future meetings.
In the Prompts section, you can add instructions that guide the AI, both when it picks clips from your meetings and when it drafts social post text. This keeps every output aligned with your voice, your brand and the type of content you want to create.
Set it once. Every future clip follows your rules automatically.
The Full Workflow in One View
- Log into your ProdShort dashboard
- Click Schedule or Join Now
- Fill in your meeting details and let the bot join
- After the call, find your recording and auto-generated clips in Recorded Calls
- Edit in the Style Editor, layout, captions, post text
- Export or publish directly to your social platforms
One meeting, multiple clips, social posts written. Published all from one place.
Why This Changes How You Create Content
Most founders and creators skip content creation because it requires a separate block of time they do not have. Recording, watching back, clipping, captioning, writing captions, scheduling it adds up to hours every week.
ProdShort removes most of those steps. The meeting happens. The recording is processed. The clips are ready. The post text is drafted. You review, approve, and publish.
The conversations you are already having become the content you have been meaning to create.
